Accessibility statement

Web accessibility means that websites and applications are accessible and usable by everyone. The accessibility of the information and services offered is not a matter of course for everyone. We therefore voluntarily screened the content of this website according to the principles of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 level AA.

Accessibility statement Together for Clean Air

This accessibility statement applies to togetherforpureair.eu. Samen voor Zuivere Lucht is a website of the Interreg project Pure Air and therefore does not fall under the websites of the Flemish Environment Agency, the Flemish Government (vlaanderen.be), the City of Antwerp, the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment or the GGD Haaglanden. The Pure Air project voluntarily chose to perform a WCAG 2.1 audit and draft an accessibility statement because we support the idea behind it.

This accessibility statement was prepared on September 22, 2021 and is based on a third party review. The website was tested by an IAAP certified web accessibility specialist at ElevenWays .
This statement and compliance status below was last revised on September 15, 2021.

What is web accessibility?

Web accessibility means that websites and applications are accessible and usable by everyone. The accessibility of the information and services offered is not a matter of course for everyone. Think of the visually impaired and blind, the elderly with impaired vision, but also people with limited hand function or limited reading skills.

Web accessibility is based on the following 4 principles:

  • Perceptible: information and components of the user interface must be visible to users in a way that they can perceive.
  • Operable: User interface and navigation components must be operable.
  • Understandable: Information and the operation of the user interface must be understandable.
  • Robust: Information must be robust enough to be reliably interpreted by a wide range of users.

Every government website is required to have an accessibility statement. This explains in detail and clearly to what extent the website meets the set standards and is regularly updated.

Result audit

This website partially complies with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 level AA because the criteria opposite have not yet been met.

We strive to systematically fix these inadequacies in future updates that require the intervention of a web developer. This will take into account the costs and benefits given the typical frequency and duration of use of specific parts of this website and the impact of the deficiencies thereon. A limited number of comments in the audit report were removed at the same time as this accessibility statement.
