The Policy Monitoring Dashboard

A dashboard for policy, citizens and scientists to view the situation before and after the implementation of a policy measure on traffic and/or air quality in the area.

You tackle the following challenges:

How do I make my environment more aware of air quality

Your first stop - the Quick Scan

Once the neighborhood where a traffic measure has been implemented has been created on the dashboard, you can first go to the Quickscan box. This shows general graphs that allow you to investigate the impact of a policy measure on air quality and traffic. You can view the values/changes of traffic and air quality before and after the implementation of a policy measure for both the target and neighborhood zones. By selecting/deselecting the labels below the graphs, you can conveniently adjust the image according to what you wish to investigate.

Dig deeper with the 'Advanced Graphs'

With the advanced graphs you dive into the details. You can now investigate measurements and differences for air pollution and traffic within/between two self-chosen time intervals. You can compare two graphs that are on top of each other. You choose the content of the graphs yourself: air and/or traffic data within/between target and neighborhood zones. By hovering over one graph you get to see detailed measurements for both graphs. You can choose whether you want to see the selected data before or after the introduction of a policy measure, but you can also view the changes (deltas). By selecting/deselecting the labels below the graphs you can conveniently adjust the view according to what you want to investigate.

Example PMD-Herzele

In the Municipality of Herzele a school street was introduced. This effect was monitored with air and traffic sensors. Everyone (citizens, scientists & policy) have access to these measurements and could view the situation before and during the introduction of the test setup by means of the COMPAIR Policy Monitoring Dashboard (PMD) .
